I used to enjoy checking my inbox , to see what is happening in Basherland.
Now it is full of work and facebook reminders.
Bring back auto-send so we can get that warm glow of basher emails again.

Yeah , I agree with Omega , we should get emails telling us about games and who is playing . Personally I could care less about Chewies band . No one ever comes to watch Omegas band play . And they are awesome !!

Hello 1997. Nice to hear from you all. If i am out of line for following the wishes of the committee and spending a good week writing a plugin to tackle this issue and add extra functionality then i apologise. I did ask here if anyone has any issues with the new system to speak up. i thank you for assisting us by doing so. i also thank you for your helpful and thorough technical description of your specific issues. I am aware that not everyone has been getting emails and am working on tracing down the reasons for this. One problem recently fixed was the default sending setting which was set to not send to anyone who hadn't specifically asked for it in their profile page. This has now been set to send emails to these people by default. If you're still not getting anything there are numerous other options for getting notifications. The RSS Feed is available by clicking at the top of the page. I know you have a VPN Omega so Twitter is an option. I also know you use Apple Mail so if your tunnel vision means you cannot see beyond your email inbox, try FIle>Add RSS Feeds... and paste in the link from above (http://basherscc.org/blog/feed/). Another reason you don't all get emails is that some people are choosing not to send emails out when they post, maybe they don't want your comments. Finally if you still feel that change is bad and hunger for the old system (which incidentally had numerous problems for other members) i suggest you write a letter, walk down to the post office and send it to your committee. I know your band are playing tomorrow, but i think i might sleep in and save my energy for Cassius' band on Saturday night, since he was keen enough to make the effort and invite us all.

Considering that Omega was able to get online (assuming the massive 3 emails a day allowed him some free time) to click on Safari (as he is a mac user) and instead of jumpin onto the porn but headin onto the blog for a 2 min weekly update would resolve all his issues of not knowing what going on. That is if he knows how to get onto the web and judging by the above, i guess that has been proved. Every single person gets onto the web at least once a week, so there is no excuse not to know what is going on in the club. The blog has been around for a while.......
