Santa Fe Sixes 2009 – Aug, 23rd @ SRFC
Calling all Cricket-lovers members … it’s Santa Fe 6’s time again. Cricket Shanghai would once
again like to thank Santa Fe Relocation Services for sponsoring the club’s annual domestic 6’s
extravaganza. This Sunday, August 23rd we invite all member clubs to participate in the annual
Santa Fe Sixes which has been one of the highlights on our annual calendar for a number of
years now. We have just confirmed that we will be able to host this event at the brand SRFC
grounds in WaiGaoQiao. This promises to be a blockbuster event and one of the rare occasions
where the majority of the Cricket Shanghai can get together at the same time.
Please note that due to the fact that we can only play the Santa Fe Sixes over one day, we have
space for 8 teams so will this invite goes out to all 5 member clubs, we will only be able to
accommodate 8 teams in the tournament format. Each of the 5 clubs are guaranteed one team
each but the other 3 teams will be offered on a first come first serve basis. To confirm whether
they will be submitting 1 or 2 teams, could all club captains please contact:

Once all 8 participating teams are confirmed the official schedule will be released but for now we
can confirm that the fun kicks off at 8:30am and the 2009 Champions will be crowned before
sunset.
Traditionally, this has been a family event and with the new venue now confirmed this year’s
Santa Fe Sixes will not disappoint. So bring the family down to the new SRFC at Wai Gao Qiao for
a day of great cricket, music, food and fun at the Santa Fe 6’s. The caterers, tents, music and
jumping castle will all be set-up early for a great day of family festivities. This event has always
been a highlight on the SCC’s social events calendar so let’s all get to the ground to celebrate
another successful year together before a well earned festive season break. Oh yes, and don’t
forget your hard hats as the ball will be flying around the park!!

Santa Fe Sixes Raffle Prizes
A fund-raising raffle will be held at the ground with all proceeds going towards Santa Fe
Relocation Services’ nominated charity, the Johns Hopkins Singapore Research Fund dedicated to
research and treatments for cancer. For each move that Santa Fe completes, Santa Fe donates
US$ 10 to the fund and to date have already donated US$1,000,000. It would be great for SCC
