Business vs Hot Dogs
No typhoon so off to Dulwich to play the Hot Dogs. A win guarantees a semi final, a loss means a must win final game.
Lose the toss but get to bat first anyway, nice. Sinbad and Leppa disppear to darkest recesses of Pudong knowing they would’t be batting soon, ideally not at all.
Tiny and Stats get us off to a good start with 49-0 after 10. Stats (15 off 33) soon departs to the first ball of the second change trundler and we’re 59-1 in the 12th. Another good partnership between Dazzler and Tiny gets us up to 90 before Tiny (33 off 56) is sent on his way LBW. Pam enthusiastically enters the crease and enthusiastically sets off on a quick single forgetting that at the other end is a less than enthusiastic Dazzler. Pam (6 off 6) run out with the score on 98. Dazzler (13 off 23) follows immediately and we’ve collpased to 98-4 in the 20th.
Little of note from the lower order except another battling display from A Trois who top sccored with 45 off 46 balls. Korean does well to stick around for 20 balls for his 4, trying to guide the Business to the 40th over. Unfortunately Growler (6 off 14), Filthy (2 off 9), Chitty (4 off 9), Sinbad (a duck off 4) and Leppa (2 off 5) can’t stick around and the Business are dismissed for 176 in the 37th over.
Tiny and Dazzler start for the Business with the ball and Tiny quickly picks up their opener caught down the legside. The Anti-Basher in at three and nicks a few and faffs around for a few balls and is suddenly top scoring with 37. Chitty sends him on his way along with two other top order wickets and the Hot Dogs are 55-4. Some lower and middle order resistance and an inability to not bowl wides gifts the Hot Dogs easy runs. Despite regular wickets the Hot Dogs remain just ahead of the requirements.
DUE TO THE INABILITY OF THE HOT DOGS TO SCORE PROPERLY, NOT SURE WHAT HAPPENED NEXT.
In the end the Hot Dogs scrap over the line 9 wickets down with 9 balls remaining. Filthy and A Trois dropped a catch each, we missed a run out and gifted too many extras to the Hot Dogs but should’ve won anyway.

Big game against the Power coming up! The play offs start now!
Anyone keen for a 2 hr net session at SRFC Sat leaving the camel at 9am?
Dazzle -- would be usually but stupid a.m. work meeting this week ... perhaps the next weekend? Keep throwing it out there, would love to get a power net session in
Just taking some time off and looking at the figures and games left to play. Nobody can catch the Daredevils so it's all about the semi spot. K2 are no chance. Losing to Pudong brings them level on points, but they currently have more bonus points so will go ahead. That would mean the Bashers would be relying on the Doggies losing to both the Daredevils and K2. Short story, as Latex said, barring unikely outcomes, The next game v Pudong is a knockout match.
