The Bokhara Bell Trophy 2016

Not sure if there is an official lumberjack, but Cassius and Angel got a write up in the Gazette here, and below:

Winter Merchandise

WINTER MERCHANDISE Yep, that's right, the Bashers are getting some tracksuits! The fabric is 240gsm fleece, so they'll keep you warm and toasty over the winter. These will be made to order, so post your colour selections and sizes below. The cost for each tracksuit (jacket + pants) is 300rmb.

SCA Sixes Weekend

SCA Cricket Sixes The Bashers were mostly on tour in Xiamen, losing the Xiamen 666s to a Barbarians squad from Chengdu, or in Japan beating the Japanese national team, but a few were in Shanghai over the weekend to take part in the SCA Cricket Sixes.

Pleasure vs Hot Dogs

Pleasure vs Hot Dogs, 3 July 2016 Torrential rain had dashed the hopes of the Business an agonizing three overs short of a spectacular win over the Hot Dogs on Saturday. The rain continued overnight to leave the SCSC field saturated and sloppy with mud, more fitting for a rugby game than a cricket match.

The Bashers at the Nanjing Rural Sixes 2016

Friday Night The touring party of 12 Bashers made their way to Nanjing on Friday night, with 2 reinforcements arriving on Saturday morning (Tyrone R. and B.S. posting cocktail selfies as they passed Wuxi at 7.30am).

SCC Pirates vs Tongji University Lumberjack

Last week a pre-season fixture against the Tongji University side was hastily arranged, and in the rush four Bashers were selected: Shit Shoes, Skid Row, Ian TBC Staz, and Bullet. The Bashers also moved their nets to the same venue to show a bit of support on the sidelines (and bring an esky - thanks Truffles).

Farewell Martin Crowe

I grew up in the 80s when NZ had a golden age of test cricket, and there is no doubt it was led by the bat and later the intelligent captaincy, of Martin Crowe. He was a legend, so often the man carrying the whole side and country, and his passing this morning at 53 was far too soon.

HK T20 Weekender Report

Friday Shanghai was floating inside a misty cloud most of the week leading up to the first ever international T20s in Hong Kong! So it was an ominous sign when I was notified of a 1 hour delay for my Friday afternoon flight at lunchtime. It ended up being a proper delay of 3.5 hours, and I was forced to run to catch one of the last airport express trains back to Central. I managed to find my way home to Siu Sai Wan in the dark, but had only a few short hours of sleep ahead of game day.

Xiamen Tour Report 2015

Since Mr Bullet Bond, licensed to thrill, is deep undercover, and the season is fast drawing to an end, here are the general (or hazy) events of the Xiamen Tour 2015...

Off-season Thursday Night Drinks

The season is fast coming to an end, and unfortunately, there isn't going to be any indoor this winter (due to the Arena going bust), so we'll all have to wait until next March to play some cricket. That doesn't mean that Bashers drinks aren't happening, so if it's Thursday night, then get to the Camel after work for Bashers Drinks!
