The Bashers Golf Masters 2012
So the team is set for this awesome event but that doesn’t mean you cant get involved. You can come out and support, 400rmb gets you all the food and drink for the day as well as access to golf karts to take you round the course so your chirping can be as efficient as posible. After an absence of 4 years the quest for the revered Bashers’ Green Jacket is back.
The Bashers’ Masters will be played within a team competition that pits us against 6 teams that are all dressing up in various outfits.ie Blazers and kilts if they are Scottish and Irish etc.So Bashers’ Blazers is a must with whites obviously.Because it is nation v nation event they have grouped us as “The Antipodeans”.Apologies to to Northern Hemisphere Bashers.
For the team event there will be great prizes (Team scores, longest drive, closest to the pin etc).Food, booze and transport sponsored by the Camel.As well as the team competition the Bashers will have all scores tallied to find the new Bashers Masters’ champion and the new wearer of the Green Jacket. JC (Jonathon Cope) is the reigning champion and looks a nervous wearer as you can see by the picture.
When: Friday 30th November brrr
Where: Sun Island
Cost: 1000RMB
So it is a maximum of 12 players to represent the Bashers and we need to put in team list within 2 weeks.

The Shanghai Scottish Sports Club would welcome the Bashers putting in an international team providing there is not Scot or Bog Dweller (Irish) in your team. The foremat is foursomes. Given that Woodstock has already signed up I believe it is appropriate that his pairing is paired off against me and Mad Dog McTavish. As a sponsor i have have the benefit of a female fashion model driving our stretch golf buggy courtesy of Verve the model agency. Blind whisky tasting and blind tee offs at every par three. The other teams are : 1. Scottish gay boy public school toffs. 2. Scottish glue sniffing state school neds. 3. English Dim but Nice Chaps ( they are trying to get away with being called Bulldogs). 4. Irish Bookies. 5. Irish Trigger Happy Republicans.

Chubby Tubby had a handicap of 14, but if if my batting to weight ratio is anything go by, Amazing Tubby will be playing off a 28...

22 models/hostesses were interviewed on Thursday and 8 selected. The pick of the bunch was this Russian girl who enquired if there would be any middle aged men playing. She then went on to say should "willingly do anything to please a middle aged man". She was signed up straight away. JC a 20 handicapper.....Cranky a 24 handicapper.....baloney
