As the dust settles on another great trip down to Nanjing it will take a few days to piece together the lumberjack. It will also take a few days for most of the touring party to piece together the brain cells lost along the way.
In short the Newton Bashers went unbeaten to take the Shield back to Shanghai. Along the way all of the team pitched in with performances that contributed to an impressive display that was rounded of in the final with a stunning hatrick from Paul ‘Shrek’ Turner on the first 3 balls of the innings joining Chaminda Vaas in cricket history (Cricinfo have yet to return my e-mail regarding this super human effort). With only 8 needed to win the final was short lived but action packed!
