Hello cricketers,

Delighted to invite you to this year’s Gaelic Football All Nations Cup will take place on Saturday 7th March at SRFC. The Bashers put on an awesome performance last year!

Remember the aim of the tournament is to introduce players to the sport so if it’s your first time then all the better! The club will host what is sure to be an epic after-party on the eve of the tournament…

WHAT – GAELIC FOOTBALL NATIONS CUP TOURNAMENT
WHERE – SRFC
WHEN – SATURDAY 7th MARCH AT SRFC FROM 1PM
WHO – TEAMS REPRESENTING DIFFERENT COUNTRIES OR SPORTS
HOW – TEAM SQUADS OF 9 PLAYERS (WITH FURTHER 3 EXPERIENCED PLAYERS PROVIDED BY SHANGHAI GAA, SO SQUAD OF 12 IN TOTAL)
PREPARATION – OPEN TRAINING SESSIONS SATURDAYS 22nd FEBRUARY AND 1st MARCH AT SRFC 1-3PM
FEE – 600 RMB PER TEAM (50 RMB PER PERSON)

It promises to be a novel and fun event with most of the participants playing Gaelic Football for the first time! It’s the first event of Ireland Week so the atmosphere will be buzzing.

The tournament will be blitz style with each team having a minimum of 4 games spread over the afternoon. Depending on the number of teams entered, the games will be between 10 and 14 minutes in duration. Team squads have 12 players with 9 on the pitch at any one time with regular subbing on and off. To assist teams, each squad will be provided with 3 experienced Gaelic Football players – so you only need to source 9 players for your squad.

Please advise at your earliest convenience if your club wishes to take part in this exciting event. Your support would of course be very much appreciated by Shanghai GAA and the wider Irish Community. If you’re interested, more details will follow.
