Season Launch 2017

The Bashers 2017 season launch is taking place this Thursday, 9th March, kicking off at our sponsor bar The Camel at 7:00pm.

We’re hoping for a good turnout and encourage Bashers old and new to come along with your partners and/or cricketing friends.

If you’re not familiar with the Shanghai Bashers, we’re a social cricket club with three teams in the city, one at each level of cricket available here. So whether you’re a seasoned veteran, in your prime or just fancy expanding your social network with beers and balls – there’s a place for you. A number of perks you’ll enjoy as a paid-up member include:

• Free beers and pies on game day
• Free transport to and from the pitch (leaving from and returning to The Camel Puxi)
• The chance to participate in domestic and international tours, including the Philippines, Xiamen and Nanjing. Past tours have even seen the Bashers in North Korea!
• Club gear – The Bashers have an array of club equipment, from boxes to bats, which all of our members are welcome to use at games.
• A 10% discount on food and drink at properties run by The Camel Group, and a special deal on Pure Blonde beers at The Camel Bar Puxi.

Key points for the night:

• Fees for this season will be 2000 yuan (this includes a playing shirt, cap, and the transport/pies/beers mentioned above)
• If you pay your subs on the night (money to Sharapova or Pope), you’ll get a free six-pack of Pure Blondes, kindly provided by our sponsor 31Jiu. Please avoid drinking these while in The Camel.
• New Bashers will be able to grab themselves a free Pure Blonde (basically anyone without a Basher name)
• Meal deal on burgers (I think this just equates to additional discount rather than being a meal + drink deal)
• We’re hoping to have a t-shirt giveaway so you can grab some vintage Bashers gear
• We may or may not run a raffle too
