150th Anniversary Test
England vs Australia at the MCG
Australia defeated England by 45 runs in the very first test match in March 1877 at the MCG.
This exact result was repeated in the 100th Anniversary test match in March 1977, led by Dennis Lillee and a Rod Marsh ton. The MCG is hosting the historic 150th Anniversary Test between England and Australia in March 2027. This is a pink ball test with the first session starting at 2pm. It’s likely Melbourne will be flooded by almost all living Ashes cricketers.
Accommodation
Shoes has booked an Airbnb 10 mins walk from the MCG from Thursday 11th March to Sunday 14th March. This is now full (Shoes, Shrek, Parrot and Hardon).
This will give us a Bashers HQ to allow Bashers brunches close to the ground and also a convenient space for Bashers waiting for transport after play. Other accommodation for shorter periods needs to be booked yourself.
Current Allocation
There has been a lot of interest amongst the Bashers. Priority for the tickets will be given to international travelers, those who lock in their flights and accommodation, and to give as many Bashers the possibility of attending as possible.
