Philippines Sixes 2016 Lumberjacks

So many memories, most forgotten. The following is a team effort lumberjack following the fortunes of the remarkable band of Bashers who ventured to the Philippines in November 2016 for cricket and other activities.
2nd XI

Pleasure vs Devils 04 Sept 2016

Pleasure lost to the devils in the last match of the season and in doing so were condemned to the bottom of the second division table and Skiddy took the mantle of worst pleasure captain ever.
2nd XI

Pleasure V Dulwich, 28 September 2016

Pleasure were narrowly beaten by a strong Dulwich side on Sunday, despite Skiddy’s highest ever score for the Bashers (64), a total lower than his female rejections in August.
2nd XI

Leopards V Bashers 14th Aug, 2016

An early start (8.30) for Pleasure who were due to play top of the table Leopards. The Bashers consisted of established Pleasure players, some from Business and some from Leisure; some with experience and some new to the club.
1st XI

Business Lumberjack vs Devils

Lumberjack courtesy of Fruitbox Business lost on Sunday to an under strength Devils team. Bowled and fielded well, barring one exception. Batted atrociously, barring one exception. Please feel free to stop reading.
3rd XI

Lumberjack Leisure Vs Pudong 7 August 2012

A glorious morning for cricket as a few ‘bag in hole’ hangovers were on their way to the Camel.

Too much sauce for the dirty Hot Dogs

Far too early for a Sunday morning, Bashers from all over Shanghai were waking from alcohol-induced comas to prepare for what would be a solid day of cricket for Bashers B(ambi).

Leisure vs. Hot Dogs, 3 July 2016

A game of Cricket was played at Wellington last Sunday boys and girls, but something far more important was at hand: it was Truffle’s final game (for now?). Despite a wet, smelly and sticky start at the camel involving a traffic cop cracking the shits and blokes waiting far too long for lattes, we were on road with Truffles leading the charge as Captain.

Pleasure vs Hot Dogs

Pleasure vs Hot Dogs, 3 July 2016 Torrential rain had dashed the hopes of the Business an agonizing three overs short of a spectacular win over the Hot Dogs on Saturday. The rain continued overnight to leave the SCSC field saturated and sloppy with mud, more fitting for a rugby game than a cricket match.

Lumberjack: Leisure Vs Dukes – June 19

After seeing their previous game rained out, the Bashers Leisure were keen to get out in the sunshine and get amongst it. The Bashers hadn’t supped from the furry cup of success since April the 24th. After a rained out game and a thrashing at the hands of Dukes it was time to make amends.
