1. End of Season Function 2010

    26 November 2010 6:30 pm to 27 November 2010 4:30 am

Here’s the final word for you as the pieces fall together for this Friday.
This is the biggest off field occasion for the Bashers this year and hopefully goes some way towards appeasing the long suffering Geishas.
The venue, in case you hadn’t tweaked yet, is our old friends at Kakadu.
So Blazer up for work Friday and come straight down after.

Everyone is welcome from the extended Bashers family. That means, you, your friend, your wife, your lover, your concubines, your colleagues, your parents, your grandparents, life coaches, private dancers… Just let Sir Dick know who you will be bringing so we have enough napkins prepared. This is as much about them as it is about you.

Please try to be on site by 18:30 so we can get through the AGM. Ladies there is a separate area for you to gossip, sip and compare notes on who is the studdliest Basher while this happens.

Afterwards, the eating will commence in earnest. It’s Kakadu, so you know it’ll be good.

Then we’ll have the 2010 FInal Fines Session where awards will be given to those who deserve them and a few who don’t.

And finally the looseness will take hold and we’ll do our best to top the efforts of previous years and drink the eskies (plural) dry.

The cost for this whole evening of food and booze is 150rmb per head, well worth the price of seeing Sir Dick do the splits alone. But wait, it gets even better, If you are a fully paid up 2010 Basher you get the special price of, wait for it… $NZ0. Yes that’s right, absolutely free for Bashers. But that’s not all, in addition to that, fully paid up Bashers will gain entry and all the food and all the drinks for the most important Geisha in your life, that’s right, a whole extra person, completely free! You heard it right, we’ve gone completely bonkers!

Kakadu is part of the Bridge 8 complex at 8 JianGuo road right down near ChongQing road. 上海市卢湾区建国中路8号桥5号楼1104A室. Phone them 54680118 if you get lost.

    Get amongst it!

  2. Bashers 2010 AGM Dinner – KAKADU

    AGM DINNER AND COMMITTEE ELECTIONS
    ———————————
Dear Bashers, that time is again soon approaching fast where the
end of the season dinner is almost upon us and a time where we
as club come together to decide our future.
The date is chosen as it coincides a week after the Xiamen tour
and a week before the Hong Kong Cricket 6′s tour which is our
last club event for the season.
As always the club will have the first 30/45 minutes of club
stuff like financial standing, Bashers progress on how we have
grown and what we have achieved for 2010, the future of the
club (SCC/SRFC issue) and of course  the new club Committee
    to be voted in.
The non official awards then to follow regarding each players’
antics for the season and then party till dawn….
So for now 2 things are required from you members:
    1)  please confirm that you as a member will be in
    attendance with or without partner
    2)  please think about who you feel best reprsents you in the
club in the role of Committee member or other exective
roles. If already in position, renominate them otherwise
before nominating someone else get that persons
    agreement first to run.
Saves time knowning that those nominated are prepared
    for the role.
The venue has yet to be confirmed or decided but the
general format for the night has been agreed that a buffet
will be layed out and that all members upon arrival with their
partners should they bring them (you are encouraged to do
so) do not have to wait a lengthy time prior to eating and
    drinking.
The Current Excomm for 2010 are as follows :
    President          : Denzyl Allwright
    Secretary          : Andy Scott
    Treasurer          : David Rosenthal
    Club Captain    : Phil Mildenhall
    Social Director : Hadleigh Churchill
Captain Div 1   : Oliver Austin
Captain Div 2   : James Mcleod
Captain Div 3   : Dean Lapthorne
Therefore please have a think about who you want that
    will best run the club.
Please kindly send all AGM attendance confirmations and
    committee nominations to :
    Andy Scott : secretary@basherscc.org
(please get your confirmations and nominations in no
    later than 30th October)
Good luck and look forward to seeing this be the biggest turn
out yet for a Bashers AGM.

  4. Loose & Local – End of Season Awards Function 2009

    27 November 20096:30 pm to 11:30 pm

Ladies & Gentlemen of the GREATEST CRICKET CLUB IN SHANGHAI [if not the UNIVERSE]!mashraf_performance_turpan_city_xinjiang_ugyur_autonomous_reg_china_photo_xinhua

The End of Season function/Awards Night is upon us once again, and its our time to reflect on a WONDERFUL year of highlights, both on and off the Ground! This year, following last years antics, we’ve decided to turn it up a few degrees and get ‘Loose & Local‘!

    Check it out:

    Date: Friday 27th November 2009

Location: Ya Ke Xi Xinjiang Restaurant, 379 Xikang Road [near WuDing Lu]. 西康路379号靠近武定路

    Time: 6:30 PM kickoff

Cost: 150 RMB for a smorgasbord of wonderful ‘local‘ cuisine and ‘loose‘ drinks [free flow VB, with spirits, mixers and the like in there as well!]

    Dress Code: Loose, but local!

This is the occasion where we award ourselves for our efforts during the year, and vote on the upcoming years committee. 150 RMB is a great deal for a great feed, all you can drink, a night with mates and collectively patting each other on the back.

Last year we had 30+ punters at the end of season function, as we are only 2 blocks north of the Big Bamboo this year, I would expect we can push 50+ punters in the room! We Own the place for the night, so LET’S GET AMONGST IT! There’ll be belly dancers, singers and maybe a few suprises thrown inbetween!

for a look at last year”s pissa (before the cameras got put away and things really got messy) see the evidence here.

Please comment below to RSVP as soon as possible, so we have an idea for numbers and catering logistics.

See you there, bright and early for a few beers!

    Stay Loose
