Xiamen- Long lost Hammer to pitch up?
Just before he departed the Canny Man in Wanchai in search of a helicopter to take him to Macau, Hammer promised / threatened to come to Xiamen. We currently have 29 signed up. If 30 come we need two boats and can have a boat race to the beach party. It all rests with Hammer. The chat in Xiamen is that the wicket will have plenty of turn so all set up for leg spinners (or those that think they are). There will also be a decent breeze for Leppa to exploit.
SCC Hong Kong Sixes Tour
The Shanghai Cricket Club is organizing two teams (Dragons and Pirates) to tour Hong Kong for the Hong Kong Cricket Festival on 3-5 December. As the Bashers are not sending a team down this year, any Bashers wishing to join the Hong Kong tour should contact Andy "Tank" Scott.
Sports day at Shanghai Cricket Hope School
The Shanghai Cricket Hope School in Sichuan continues to grow from strength to strength and after the efforts this week of some cricketers from Shanghai and Japan it should soon have the best cricket team in Sichuan.
Xiamen – New Updated Rule From the Typhoons
Game two will have a curry off between the teams: "1. Instead of Beer we will be using balti dishes full of chicken phall
Hong Kong Cricket 6s Festival
Guys the time is almost upon us again and we need expressions of interest for attending this years event. Last year we lost to the eventual tournament Premiers by just 2 points! (before being relegated out of contention for the finals but winning the drinking instead.)
Xiamen – flights / hotel etc
Need to know the following for everyone. flights: who needs a flight booked and at what time. Default assumption is that people will skive off work on friday afternoon. Evening flight is at 7.45pm. So let me know afternoon or evening and send me passport details. Assume we will all come back together sunday afterrnoon.
Xiamen tour – Gulangyu 19/21 November
XIAMEN TOUR BASHERS!!! Pusher Already sent a notice about the tour, now all Bashers need to get onboard and act ASAP so that we can take advatage of cheap tickets due to greater numbers.
Xiamen Cricket & Beach Party
Xiamen Typoons have formally invited the Bashers to come to Xiamen and launch cricket in Xiamen. The Typhoons were voted the most social side at the Shangahai 7s but were totally disappointed with the hospitality and drinking ability of the Shanghai rugby teams. They have challenged the Bashers to restore the pride in Shanghai and come to Xiamen to play the first ever game of cricket in Xiamen. The game will take place at the iconic Gu Lang Yu stadium on Gu Lang Yu Island. The plan is a morning game game followed by 6s. This is a once in lifetime opportunity to break new ground and restore Shanghai's tarnished image.
Second Annual SCC Tour of Japan
The Shanghai Cricket Club is organizing a cricket tour of Japan to play the Japanese national team at the end of September and is looking for interested tourists. Anyone who wants to join the tour should contact Paul Howard, Ainsley Mann or Andy Scott. Click on the pic to download the flyer for scheduled dates, costs and additional info.
Nanjing Sixes
Nanjing Sixes will now be held in October sometime. The ground isn't available until then. Sorry for the confusion.
