Pleasure Report: Strong Bowling Outdone by Subpar Batting

The Pleasure XI started out at the insane early start time of 7:30 at the Bamboo, arriving before the staff on this cool Sunday morning. With gray skies and rain threatening, the Bashers stand-in captain Andy "Tank" Scott promptly lost the toss and the Bashers were forced to field.

Bashers Team Names

It's official. By popular vote of those who are physical enough to rock up to training and drinks the new Bashers team names have been decided. In the end it was an undeniably resounding majority decision.

Ahead of this weekends double header against the Devils - training will  take place as per usual at San He Hua Yuan from 18:00 - 20:00.

I have booked the tennis court from 6 - 8 as usual. Please respond to this asap - as I know various Business and Pleasure members are currently out of town, or otherwise indisposed. If there is not sufficient interest, we will instead rendezvous at the Big Bamboo - where we will be able to welcome the former - former League Skipper back for a beverage or two.

April Double Header

A leak has sprung in the SCC and we've found out about the next Bashers matches! It all happens on Sunday the 19th. Starting with the Division two match against Kapatelli and the Pudong Fudgepackers followed by a 40 over match also against Pudong.

Legal Mumbo Jumbo

The anti-basher (SCC VP of Operations!) has furnished us with a concise set of rules for this years competitions. It's suggested that all players have a browse through these documents so they understand what's going on and know what to do when they have their turn umpiring or scoring.

Bashers set the standard for 09

The Bashers assembled at the Boo in good spirits early Sunday afternoon. There was an unusual level of confidence about the game and a distinct lack of blazing red eyes and hangovers. Without further ado, on to the bus and away to adventures in Pudong.
