Bashers Pleasure vs D.P.R Harddogs Match Report

With a 1:30pm (Saturday) start to our game we pondered why we deserved this lovely time slot. Then we realized we had done nothing and it was only because we were playing a D.P.R. ****dog team that we had such a convenient start time. We discussed team tactics over a few Crown Lagers while we waited for Birdshit to arrive, which never eventuated. We jumped on the bus and headed to Dulwich in HIGH spirits.

Business get less than ideal introduction to K2

Big Bamboo, 10am Sunday. After a big night such as Saturday one feels thankful for being in the Business team and not having a 7:30 am start. Hung-over red eyes soon made way for cross eyes on the bus, as KC and Oscar debated the mertis of foreign currency investments all the way to Pu Dong......

Pleasure Beats Business – Loses to Dulwich

The Anti-Basher's poorly disguised campaign to ruthlessly discriminate against the Bashers Pleasure continued unabated at the weekend when we were handed yet another sunrise start, this time within hours of the final bell at the Sheraton Showdown. However, with only Parrot failing to climb aboard Pornstar's bus at the appointed hour the squad set off full of confidence to take on the Dulwich Knights in a sauna of atmosphere at the Knights home ground.

Australia sent spinning as tour takes turn for worse

Reminds me of 2005. Bring on the Ashes. So Ireland made it through to the Super Eights stage of the World Twenty20 and Australia did not. They may have been a shade unfortunate to have been drawn in the strongest group in the first stage, but after their drubbing by West Indies on Saturday, Australia were deservedly beaten again last night, with an over to spare, by a Sri Lanka side showing greater invention and composure.

Bashers Business Report

Bashers, Sunday saw the Grudge Match take place at Dulwich College. Having parked the bus, erected the tent and settled ourselves for the game - Stats managed to lose the toss (again) yet still manage to set the Bashers up for a chase, with Ben 'the Skipper of the Hot Dogs' Goodwin opting to bat first.

Pleasure Match Report 3/5/09

The day started with Swahili bitching about not being able to find whites in this city. The situation started to look more and more dire as more Basher's showed up with 'non-regulation' equipment. It was starting to look as though the other team would start with a hundred on the board before a ball was bowled. Fortunately, the Business XI were kind enough to allow some of the disorganised Pleasure Bashers to get into their wet white pants so they could take to the field.

April 2009 Cricket Shanghai Newsletter

Welcome to the 2009 Season As discussed at last month's AGM, the Council will be sending out a monthly Communique to all members going forward. As there is a lot to get you all up to speed on this first edition will be slightly longer than normal. We hope you find these monthly communications useful and please feel free to let us know where we can develop further to keep everyone up to date. The new 2009 Season is well under way and the Council's plan to schedule double headers between all club's Div 1 & Div 2 teams has been well received and good for inter-club rivalry.
