Pleasure v Devils Report: “Lets Do It For Bugs”

On a hot summer's morning the Pleasure squad began to arrive at the Camel, a win over the Devils would put us in a good position for 2nd place in the league.

Bashers Leisure vs Devils Match Report, August 1st SRFC

As the last of the late night revellers emerged from the Dragon Club, some propped up by a few eager young ladies,a relaxed and confident Leisure squad gathered at the Camel bright and early on a steaming hot Sunday morning before setting off on a quest to exorcise the Devils.

Bashers Business vs Devils 25th July Lumberjack Report

Greeted once again with a fine sunny day (well almost) the Bashers set out from THE CAMEL to beat those "Darn" Devils at the SRFC and extend the winning streak to 4 (has this happened before?)! For once all team members managed to assemble at the Camel on time (even a sober Sinbad!) barring Dipso (who set his clock 10 minutes back) and debutant Nigel "Campo" Shroff (we'll cut you some slack this time). The only question was whether it would be another adventure getting to the ground...

World Cup Sweepstakes Winners

I know you all know this anyway but just for the record here are the winners in the sweep. The New Zealander's once again punching above their weight here.

Bashers Business vs K2 18 July 2010 Lumberjack report

It was a bright blue sky that greeted the Bashers Business team as they made their way to the Camel for a 10.15am sharp departure to the SRFC to take on K2 again. Sir Dick managed to be on time but Sinbad was 15 minutes late. Not bad considering he had 2 hours kip.

Bashers Pleasure vs Pudong-July 11-Match report

Last Sunday's weather Gods tried to play havoc on another Bashers Pleasure game without reckoning on the combined stubbornness of a gnarled old Scot and fresh-faced Ozzy to ensure that the cricket went on in some shape and form, despite consistent rain and conditions more akin to the Birmingham League in the middle of an average to good British summer. Bearing all this in mind, the pitch played very well and the drainage was incredibly good except for a few 'wet patches' here and there on the square.

Trivia World Cup Results

WOW! You guys are amazing! Some of you aren't very brainy but you're all quite generous. The result which counts is the approximately 110,000rmb raised on the night.

Report: Leisure vs. Hot Dogs 20th June 2010

The leisure team convened under pleasantly overcast skies at 7.30 am on Sunday morning. We were without two leisure stalwarts, our regular leader Loose and the ubiquitous Gary Glitter, as well as late withdrawal Swoop. The ladies of the morning that usually entertain us while we wait for the bus were also conspicuous by their absence, but this may be mere coincidence. Whatever the reasons, we steeled ourselves to fight on a man short.

Bashers Pleasure vs Leopards-June 19 2010

A slim, trim Bashers unit headed off to Dulwich for an afternoon game in high heat and even higher humidity. Captain Bugs reckoned strategically that the unbeaten Leopards would be less adept at compiling a target rather than chasing one down and promptly inserted them, exposing Pleasure to the ferocity of the elements. This strategic error had the contributing effect of most Bashers bowlers being plundered to all parts of the ground as the Oppo screamed to 233-9 off 30 overs.
