Gentlemen of the Leisure Fresh off the Kakadu BBQ where a plot was laid to resurrect the Bashers season, here are the chosen few [as of 9.45AM Fri] for the Bashers Div 3Â to go into battle against Dulwich White Knights this Sunday morning.

Duckworth Lewis – It’s total bollocks

Tonight I was told that the Leisure lost their first game against Pudong due to some contrived rule realated to Duckworth Lewis rule. The SCC needs to get a life. At the lower level of cricket SCC they should be encouraging people to play not revisit a bad experience with their high school maths teacher. This ruling is utter nonsense not only because it is incompensible but because every game relies on impartial umpies from both sides which is not the case. The Law is an Ass or as we say in Glasgow "total bollocks". I might be old fashioned but I used to think that the most runs won the game and if the weather got in the way then it was a draw and off to the Pub.

Gentlemen and esteemed Bashers, Sportzvault has since its inception been the bane of the skippers' existences... The nongmin on the phone in the lift, the mosquito buzzing around you in bed - in other words very annoying.

Lumberjack | Leisure v Hot Dogs | May 1st

With the firecrackers still ringing in our ears from the opening of EXPO, the Bashers finest assembled for their 8AM MAY DAY bus at The Camel. Pity there was no bus, but we had beers & pies & new baggy blue Bashers caps, so we legged it via taxi's to Dulwich. First thing we noticed at the ground was how beautiful the weather was, probably better suited to drinking than running around after a red leather ball. JC was as usual late, so we offered him as a Bashers sacrifice to the under manned Hot Dogs, who didn't even say thanks!
