150th Anniversary Test at the MCG

150 years of England vs Australia will be celebrated by a one off test at the MCG. 100,000 screaming fans. Bashers getting amongst it. Test cricket at it's finest.

REGISTER WITH SCSC

Bashers, This year we ALL need to individually sign up to play at the SCSC. It basically means you agree to the SCSC ground rules (and I've read the conditions and there isn't much in there). It is free, it is easy, and it'll make sure you get a SCSC card to buy food and beverages at the clubhouse.

Bowled Over – Bashers make the Global Times!

Global Times met with some of the Bashers to discuss cricket in Shanghai over drinks before Chinese New Year. I think the main reason was because the Cricket World Cup was just starting in NZ and Australia (but it could also have been a very slow news week). Anyway, after meeting Shit Shoes and Korean, and then wechating with Sharapova, the reporter came up with this article.

The Anti-Basher Bashed!

Just a little taste of what is in store for the rest of the league this year...

Phil Hughes

Australian Cricketer Phil Hughes died today, three days before turning 26. I read this news while I was meant to be working on the Bashers awards presentation for this Saturday. If this years awards are a little lacking then I apologise, I was distracted and shaken by the news.

20-20 3rd week Bashers vs Pudong

Another early Saturday start, hot morning, well-matched opponents. Another post without all of the details at my fingertips. Captain Poppy was inserted, and he started us off with Artois. They were making good progress before the aggressive Deepak bowled Poppy, and had Artois caught. Tiny and Post-Op fell to enthusiastic Chinaman Adam, leaving Swoop (36) to join Ringer (31) with some rebuilding at 66 – 4 in the 8th over. They built an excellent partnership of 60, and some last over fireworks from the Korean took us to 150 off our 20 overs.

20-20 Week 2 Bashers vs Hot Dogs

Like other post, apologies for not knowing all of the details, I wrote this without scorebook or corrections from team-mates. Gist of the game was sound team win, the workload shared all involved (apart from the youngster, who did plenty of batting in the heat). Read on - there is space in the sledge area to add some more of the fine(r) details!

20-20 Week 1 – Bashers vs Daredevils

Apologies for not knowing all of the details, I wrote this without scorebook or corrections from team-mates. Gist of the game was excellent team win, with some entertaining highs from all involved. Read on - there is space in the sledge area to add some more of the fine(r) details!

Mid-Summer T20 Squads

There is some flexibility in these squads, as only about 10 Bashers replied to the recent Broadcast. The rules also allow 2 players in each XI from the other squad, but this will be used sparingly.
