Winter Indoor League Closed Down…

SAD NEWS – THE ARENA IS CLOSING ON 1 DECEMBER, SO THERE WILL BE NO WINTER LEAGUE…

Looks like we’re good to go – we’ve got enough support to enter a team into the competition!

The Bashers have been invited to enter a team into the Jinqiao Arena winter indoor cricket league. The Arena is seeking to address the main problem (difficult location) by providing a beer bus to and from the Arena.

Here are the competition details:

1. Sunday afternoons 14:00 – 17:00
2. Teams of 6 players
3. 2 games per week (approximately one hour per game) – 100rmb cost for each match or 200rmb per weekend
4. Beer bus to and from the Arena
5. From Mid-November lasting 11 weeks. November 22nd to January 31st (exact dates to be confirmed)

Here’s what you get:

1. 22 games per team
2. Beer bus (stocked with free beer) from Jingan Temple to the Arena plus return journey
3. Fully stocked Arena bar, sky sports HD TV’s and FIFA16 to enjoy during breaks
4. Unlimited nets based on availability
5. One free 2 hour club game
6. One free event rental for a team fundraiser/team social etc

I’ve noticed a decline in interest in playing indoor over the past 2 seasons as Bashers Slayers skipper. So before the Bashers make any commitment to enter this team, we need to get at least 15 on the blog over the next week keen to play some games. Note: we will also need an Indoor Skipper to volunteer, as I will not be skippering the team this year.
