As it will likely be warm and sunny, NO cricket scheduled for the Bashers June 11 & 12 weekend, but plenty of off-field action.
Starting on Thursday, June 9 with…
Mike is visiting close to a dozen schools over the next two weeks to run workshops and tournaments teaching children the game of cricket. He will also visit 10 businesses and organisations seeking long term support for the promotion and development of cricket in China. The cost of admission will go towards having Mike in China as well as equipment used in workshops and games for the children.
So, come along to drinks Thursday night, 7pm, with the option to have Mike Gatting whisper sweet nothings in your English ears or to be sledged by the rest of the world.
“Where did the ball hit you Mike?”
following that…
Come and say goodbye to Japseye in his usual way, watching the Hawks at The Camel and getting on the Coopers. For the non-believers, the footy finishes about 8:15pm and he’ll go from there.
Continuing Saturday, June 11 with…
From 12:00-4:00pm, come down to Kakadu and enjoy Shanghai’s best barbecue deal. James is serving up lamb, beef, pork chorizo, venison, kangaroo and emu sausages, beef short rib steaks, marinated chicken fillets, barramundi fillets, barbecue pork ribs, lamb skewers, salads galore, desserts and much, much more. There is also a kids play area so you can focus on your eating and drinking.
Drinking you say? To sweeten the deal, wash it all down with bottomless glasses of Asahi beer, Australian Chardonnay or Shiraz, soft drinks, and juices.
The usual price for the public and Dirty Doggy types is 188rmb, but for Bashers, family and friends 128rmb!
