Saturday – 12 noon – 2.30pm (bus maybe at 11am)
We’re letting ourselves down, our team mates down, and we’re embarrassing the good name of Bashers cricket in the process.
Yesterday the Leisure were bowled out for lowest ever Bashers league score of just 25 (6 x Ducks, 2 x Goldens) and the Business dropped 9 catches on their way to gift the Pudong side a lofty total of 242.
It is time to lose the excuses and get real about where we are as a club – about useless enough to drop the “cricket” from our name! We haven’t got a game this weekend, so it’s the perfect time to get all three divisional teams to turn up to a full club training session, including some fielding practice. Our poor fielding is losing us games – and it is the easiest skill to improve (as all the other teams are doing with Saturday practices).
I’ll organise a bus if we get enough people along. Lets get amongst it and finish the season strongly!
