Bashers Cricket Club

After a 5 week hibernation, the Bashers Twenty 20 side pounced like a hungry Javan Rhinoceros on the hapless Hotdogs to claim a well deserved 1 run victory. Having been forced to bat as a result of a last minute schedule change by the Anti Basher, Loosey Deano and Professor Thomas strutted to the middle of the BISS field amid cheers from Bashers faithful [1 - Hamish] and a few jeers [Hotdog supporters -  all 3 of them].

It’s been a month now since Basher’s day and the soft launch of this blog. It’s been a little less time since it’s wider release to the world. We’d like to check up on it’s health and usefulness with some sort of informal survey. Boys

Following our VICTORY yesterday [stay tuned for match report] against the Hotdogs, we have a game this Sunday out at BISS.

1.00pm Bashers CC v Pudong CC – JUNE 1st

Bus will leave from the Boo probably round 11:15 am.

This is 1 v 2 on the table and it is a MUST win! If we take Pudong down, we are well and truly on the way to good things so early in the season.

Who want’s in?

The Indian Association will be hosting the Sunil Gavaskar Sixes on June 8th.
 
The entrance fee is RMB 9,000 per 8 player team and this includes a gala dinner the night before at the Shangri La. It promises to be a great event and if individual team sponsors would like to sponsor a team they can do so for RMB 12K.
 
This will give them advertising rights and a corporate presence at the event. More details on ‘team sponsorship’ will be forthcoming early next week ito advertising rights available to prospective sponsors. The IA have undertaken to support our Sixes event this year so it would be great if each club were able to submit a team in the event. More details on schedules, times, what fun is on offer, etc closer to the time.

The Anti-Basher resorts to ambush tactics by waiting until the last minute to schedule this grudge match.
