{"id":17015,"date":"2019-03-30T19:50:27","date_gmt":"2019-03-30T11:50:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/basherscc.org\/blog\/?p=17015"},"modified":"2019-03-31T10:13:48","modified_gmt":"2019-03-31T02:13:48","slug":"a-pleasurable-day-to-open-the-season-sunday-24th-march-2019-pleasure-vs-china-zalmi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/basherscc.org\/blog\/a-pleasurable-day-to-open-the-season-sunday-24th-march-2019-pleasure-vs-china-zalmi\/","title":{"rendered":"A Pleasurable day to open the Season \u2013 Sunday 24th March, 2019  (Pleasure VS China Zalmi)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Pleasure was the\nlast to kick start their division games, but they were by far the least.&nbsp; The day started out with the usual meeting at\ncages, sorting the kit and pies in addition to some eager beavers arriving way\nearlier than needed.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the squad\narriving on time to get the coach to the match, the bus left on time as we\nstarted our journey to yet another match.&nbsp;\nThe usual pre-match sledging amongst the bashers, in addition to smiles\nall around was the picture painted on the bus as Pleasure seeks to be the first\nteam in the league to defeat China Zalmi (would hereon be referred to as\nleopards).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As per usual,\nCaptain Bambi lost the toss which saw Pleasure fielding first and taking the\ngame to the Leopards.&nbsp; Warcry and Bambi\nopened the bowling which troubled the opening pair of the Leopards.&nbsp; The Openers who looked unnerved as they rushed\nto the crease now assembling themselves should have been sent back just as fast\nas they came.&nbsp; This was almost a reality\nas Pleasure could have had two early dismissals however, it was not to be so\ntoday.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not long after\nthough, Bambi sent the middle stump of one of the openers cart wheeling leaving\nhim to ask \u201cwhat happened?\u201d as he walked back to the dugout.&nbsp; The Leopards offer some resistance to the\nPleasure bowling, having their Captain at the crease.&nbsp; However, some tight bowling on both ends added\nsome necessary pressure to the Leopards and they started to crack.&nbsp; Last year\u2019s leading wicket taker, Skiddy,\nreturned to form by keeping the batsmen at bay by bowling some tight\nspells.&nbsp; He was partnered by Rooty who\nalso contributed nicely as the pair made it hard for the opposition to score\neasily.&nbsp; After this pair, Bambi then went\nwith Paps and Sensation in either desperation or in hope that they would\ncontinue along the same line as the bowlers who preceded them.&nbsp; New comer, Houdini also bowled very well as\nthe Bashers completed the 30 overs with Leopards making just over 190.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was time for\nPleasure to bat, and the opening batsmen were Rug muncher and Hasina.
