Click on a match to edit it.<\/p>\n Edit\/Add match<\/strong><\/p>\n To add a new match to the database click on “Enter new Match”, i know that’s very confusing.<\/p>\n The form should be pretty self explanatory. The only confusing part is the double elements (a drop down and a text input box) \u00c2\u00a0for some of the items.<\/p>\n Don’t forget to select a result so the winners get credit.<\/p>\n Commentary, write what you like, this part isn’t really implemented yet. I’ve been putting the sportzvault link in for when a match is clicked on. up to you.<\/p>\n Hopefully the different submit buttons don’t need explaining.<\/p>\n And that’s the hard part done! Should only take a few minutes each week. Hopefully the team captains can keep on top of this and have our tables up to date, which means entering results for all matches in your comp, even ones not involving Bashers.<\/p>\n Now the fun part.<\/p>\n Apart from the league standings which go in the sidebar it’s possible to insert match results and tables into posts and pages.<\/p>\n the place to look is on the visual editor toolbar.<\/p>\n The First button is for inserting a match result. It’ll bring up a popup window which lists matches in a similar way as the editing section you saw before.<\/p>\n Filter away and click on a match to insert it in a post.<\/p>\n On your edit screen you’ll get something like this:<\/p>\n [versus_match match=\"153\"]<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Or if you use the “Insert All Matches” button at the bottom you can include a range of matches (e.g. every leisure Match Played in a given Year)<\/p>\n [versus_match comp=\"\" year=\"2010\" team=\"Bashers Leisure\" venue=\"\"]<\/p><\/blockquote>\n The other button is for inserting points tables. It’s the one which looks like a wee ladder and gets you to the following popup:<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a>If it’s a new team ground or competition to the database just type it in. The system relies on the spelling being the same which is why it’s advisable to use the drop-downs where you can, they’ll automatically fill out the form elements. The score is the runs\/wickets for that teams batting innings. Try and keep the same format. The points box is for competition points. this is what’s used to calculate the standings in the league tables.<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
