Umpires needed for 2013

I have managed to end up as the guy in charge of sorting out umpires for division one and two matches for the SCC this season.

I want to put it out there for volunteers who are willing to get involved. You will even get paid a little for your time, and the teams might buy you a beer afterwards if you don’t instigate any riots.

I did quite a bit of umpiring a couple of seasons ago, and it is a great way to get to know players from around the league, and to represent the Bashers and forge inter-club relations. You don’t have to be a professional (although vague knowledge of the laws is preferred), and you don’t have to commit to doing it every week.

We do need to step up as a club, however, so need a number of people to umpire once or twice, or a few people to do it regularly.
