Police Report: Million Tree Quiz
Well that’s not the kind of controversial ending we expected but exciting it was. Most importantly we made a whole bunch of cash for the Million Tree Project – enough to plant 250 trees!
Just as importantly many good times were had, much beer and lambrusco were drunk in a lovely new venue.
Thanks must be extended to our generous prize sponsors;
Coca-Cola, Donelli, Diageo, Just Beer, Kooka Pies, Mrs Pusher’s cakes & One Wellness.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
And thank you Bashers, Geishas and the entire extended Basher family. Also great to see so many fresh faces.
i’m out on bail now so can present the results.

Match Report Pleasure Maul Dulwich, 20 September 09
It all seemed perfectly normal for a bright sunny Sunday morning; Birdshit slept through the first alarm, Tank was late, Swahili wasn’t sure where he slept. But it wasn’t until the Pusher revealed that he had got in a massive 24 hour kip the day before that it became clear the Pleasure team had been quietly building up its reserves. It’s possible the impending afternoon of complimentary booze at Cuvee was a factor, but still, there was something different.
The Dulwich security guards were the first to feel the sting; tension mounted as a dozen Bashers armed with near empty tunnel beers faced off against a trio of uniforms bearing framed certificates warning us not to trespass. Birdshit’s quick decision to conduct the team’s first ever warm up with a lap around the field defused the crisis, and possibly sowed the seeds of brilliance to follow.

Sizzling Super Thursday Results
Once again a special evening in fine company. So much action was taking place at the Bamboo last night that nary a soul did more than peek at the final ashes test unfolding on the peripheral screens.

Bashers Business Report
Bashers,
Sunday saw the Grudge Match take place at Dulwich College.
Having parked the bus, erected the tent and settled ourselves for the game – Stats managed to lose the toss (again) yet still manage to set the Bashers up for a chase, with Ben ‘the Skipper of the Hot Dogs’ Goodwin opting to bat first. -
Congratulations to the Business Team
Gents,
Once again I am in the office on a Monday morning, needing to input details of VICTORY into the new SCC database… Two matches, two victories and top of the League – a truly fantastic way to start the season.

Bashers Week Quiz Results
Another big night. Those missing out – missed out! A big welcome to the various newcomers to the world of Bashers trivia, it’s really not a bad place.
Once again the Drop Bears cleaned up taking a hat-trick (yawn). Another case each of Just Beer goodies for them. Some steady competition in the rest of the pack. Some adjusting to the new innovation of a buzzer round well – others not so – as evidenced by a couple of negative scores. A few new sections, including a Gashers section. One wonders why the WAGS didn’t have the confidence to pick that one as their wildcard. See fellas, even they don’t understand women. They did manage to take home a bottle of Vodka for their efforts though, no doubt they’ll be using that at their next secret meeting in some sordid and secret manner. Ethnicity picked up the JD by a narrow margin, until baseless accusations from I’m Easy had them rightfully ejected and the margin widened. Thanks to Katie (no show again) for shouting everyone a round of Sambucas, very kind of you. Stay tuned for the next quiz – probably just before the break of summer – big things in store for that one. For Statsie the total scores of all teams for each section went as follows; Sciences:175, Arts:270, World:224, China:365, Bashers:340, Gashers: 285. Teams making the wisest wildcard choice: Drop Bears only! Total Points scored: 2022 out of a possible 5500 at an average of just under 289. Best score in a section: Drop Bears with 180 in the China section. Worst: I’m Easy (-11) in the World section.
