To all Bashers Players .
We have been allocated 8 player spots under our team entry conditions .
This includes 8 tickets to the friday night function, a team freebie bag , and post Sunday finals BBQ .
We can play more than 8 players over the weekend but obviously 8 places with freebies will not spread to the whole club so we need you to make it easier for us to pick you in the 8 or simply to get a game when available .
After last weeks debacle… we are slightly more organized this week…
Our highly esteemed Social Director, and general Man of Looseness, Mr. Dean Lapthorne, will be heading to the court today to book.
With the Pleasure Boys looking for 3 from 3, and the 6s looming – it will be a good opportunity to get ‘amongst it’.
drinks will happen at the Bamboo regardless
There will be a post to confirm his success later on today.

Gents,
With many of us returning from various parts of the world, I thought itwould be a good idea to get together for nets tomorrow.
Same time, same place.
Please let me know if you can make it – either respond here, or text me.
If there isnt enough interest, then we will reluctantly call it off…
Obviously there will be drinks in the Bamboo after where the Aussies will be able to gloat further as to their cricketing prowess and Cranky and Tank will be able to play with the iPhones
A piece of scheduling even the anti-basher would be proud of. Genius of the ICC to have the final of this comp played on a Monday during a holiday in China so we can all get down to the boo and watch. I reckon since it’s the middle of the night down under and India & Pakistan are not in it, it’s too cold in England to think about cricket and the West Indies don’t actually bother with it at all anymore that if there’s enough Bashers in town we’ll make up about half the worldwide viewing audience.
Australia v New Zealand. Game Starts 8:30pm
See ya tonight.
Due to underwhelming responses on both teams we have not gone ahead with plans for this Friday.
Wish all a great holiday and am sure the clicks around the club will arrange a Champions trophy watch-a-thon somewhere .
Sunday night a good chance BS, Tank, and myself will be at Bamboo Hongmei if any other takers !

If there are enough keen souls, we will arrange a cricket game on Friday afternoon against our friends , the Pudong cricket club. Game to be played at the SRFC where we can be Bashers !!
Business and Pleasure players welcome !
If we have enough to put together a team then we will do so .
That is Friday October 2nd !! Your chance to have a say !!
Gents,
Big game tomorrow (the biggest Bashers event of the day in fact – given the postponement of Bashers Day).
We are playing against the Hot Dogs (who have promised to send a team this time…)
The game has been pushed back an hour, and as such is a 10:00 start.
For those taking the bus from the Bamboo – please get to there at 08:00, others get to the SRFC for 9:30 please.
Business XI:
Ollie ‘Stats’ Austin (c)
Sheyan ‘Dipso’ Patel
John ‘Inquisition’ Lepagniol
Sameer ‘Paps’ Jolly
Phil ‘Filthy’ Mildenhall
Denzyl ‘I am Gay’ Allwright
Hadleigh ‘Husband of’ Churchill
Rakesh ‘The Rock’ Kumar
Tom ‘The Bladder’ Lucas
Callum ‘Snatch’ Rhodes
Desmond ‘Long Dong’ DeSilva
The game is tomorrow – Saturday – not Sunday as is the norm.
Any questions or statements – call me on 13761370255
See you all tonight or tomorrow morning
It is with much regret that we must postpone Bashers Family Day this Saturday.
As only 16 members have confirmed their availability, and 11 of those playing Saturday morning we need to postpone to a day when the majority of you are available. It’s your club and we all need to show our appreciation to those who give us the free time to enjoy our cricket.
Some other factors like being a work day for some, the AFL Grand Final and many with families abroad or on holidays again have not helped with the timing and we look forward to club input when a better date would be. (more…)
