Police Report: Million Tree Quiz

million-tree-projectWell that’s not the kind of controversial ending we expected but exciting it was.

Most importantly we made a whole bunch of cash for the Million Tree Project – enough to plant 250 trees!

Just as importantly many good times were had, much beer and lambrusco were drunk in a lovely new venue.

Thanks must be extended to our generous prize sponsors;

Coca-Cola, Donelli, Diageo, Just Beer, Kooka Pies, Mrs Pusher’s cakes & One Wellness.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

And thank you Bashers, Geishas and the entire extended Basher family. Also great to see so many fresh faces.

i’m out on bail now so can present the results.

Some exciting scoring. Better picking of wildcard rounds and some excellent Buzzer performances. Even the Loose Units picked up their game a bit, i must be making these questions way too easy! Probably the most improved performance was from Roots Shoots and Leaves just missing out on a podium finish. They were kept out by a couple of big moments from I’m Easy who answered two buzzer questions in a row in what turned out to be their wildcard round (essentially scoring 100 points within one minute).It wasn’t quite enough to get them past the Drop Bears though, who without the Turtle appear to be crumbling a bit. Is it the end of an empire? They were all outdone by an in form Woodstock and his new team the Tree Huggers who’s consistency won them the day. They also seemed to scoop most of the raffle prizes too with a container of beer heading the way of the Pusher’s Den and Woodie himself going to Inner Mongolia in April to help planting Bashers Bush. The Sheilas left their late run a bit late but still did not disgrace. The fit bodies of the Blonde Team slowly came to grips with the intricacies of a Bashers Quiz and we can expect big things from them in the future and the Fivesome started well but ran out of puff at the end. A record turnout for a quiz in a new venue and a record take – all going to save the planet. well done everyone!
