Training – Saturday 31st march 4pm – 6pm

Short notice but after a good session last night and a lot of new faces we have booked the court for training tomorrow afternoon, 4PM – 6PM.

Im not sure of everyones availability due to the holiday schedule but please try and make it down.

There are going to be some tough selection decisions over the coming weeks so the more we get to see of you at training the better.

We can head to the R & S event after training.

Lumberjack: Bashers versus the Daredevils 25th of March

The first sunny warm Sunday of 2012 was the perfect backdrop for this titanic Div 1 clash.

The Daredevils are chasing an elusive consecutive title and were keen to stamp their mark on the 2012 season early.

The Business team arrived at sparrow’s fart to SRFC for no particular reason and the first taunts of a mutiny seemed on the cards. Filthy looking to divert attention put Sir Dick in charge of a nice relaxing yoga class in the sun to try and get everyone more focused. Filthy took the reigns of leadership back just in time to lose the toss but managed to get what he wanted anyway.

The reigning Sante Fe champions won the toss and backed themselves by opting to bat first. The Devils had obviously not paid attention to the Bashers fielding warm-up which by all accounts was one of the sharpest on record. (more…)

Lumberjack Report: Pleasure vs Hot Dogs, March 25

Another game, another pleasure win! 2 from 2 to start the season!!!

Some sun greeted us Sunday morning as the bus Bashers converged on the Camel. Minus our pies that the Business had stolen (possibly for Filthy’s pre birthday celebration. Happy bday Filth), forcing half the team to order a sausage roll to go.

The bus ride there consisted of Parrot speaking about the Bashers upcoming movie deal, how he can be the only insurance sales guy in the movie, his manager, The Jaguar, was representing him and no one dropped their guts while on the bus (no one is pointing at you, Omega).

Arriving at the ground, the fielding in practice was sharp, the Korean won the toss and elected to field and the vibe was good as we headed out to the middle knowing we chase well. (more…)

Training Thursday March 29th

Training this Thursday March 29th @ San He Hua Yuan tennis courts, 123 Yanping Lu (near Wuding Lu). 6pm – 8pm

With this great weather looking set for the week we should be able to get a good session in this Thursday.

With the Pleasure continuing the good form with another win yesterday and the Business coming away with a draw we need to step this up going into the next couple of rounds to keep the momentum going.

We have a week off this weekend due to the Qingming Holiday but thats not an excuse to not come to training.

Also we really need to get as many Leisure guys down so they can shake off the cobwebs ready for the first Div 3 game on April 8th.
