Expo Quiz Results

First of all a massive thanks again to all the people who keep giving us prizes.

However i get the feeling that if we gave away paper clips we’d still have the same response: huge!

Another record quiz attendance: 14 teams!

So here’s how it finished (approximately):

The old-timers are right back into form of years gone by while a lot of the newbies struggled for a while to get into the swing of a Bashers quiz. It goes to show how good for the mind these things are. The Smashed Crabs and Kiwi Cans bucked that trend though coming silver and bronze which rates as a great debut. Even the Super Ninjas picked up their game and finished in the prizes. the Muffin men started with a lot of promise but dwindled towards the end like a Kim Jong Il speech. Not sure what was going on with the joint Devil-Dogs team but it took the two clubs with a cast of hundreds to finish middle of the pack.
In the statistics department things were generally on the down, except for the number of zero and negative scores and the wildcard selection wasn’t the best we’ve seen. The scores were overall much closer though, especially considering the number of teams.

  • Average Team Score (last quiz 301.5) 205
  • Range of Scores (last quiz 355) 155

Section Averages;

  • Bashers: 36.78
  • Geishas: 35.00
  • Sciences: 33.57
  • Arts: 26.07
  • World: 21.42
  • Expo: 31.78
  • WILDCARD: 19.64 (is that even possible?)
  • Number of teams picking their best round as wildcard: 1/14 (the winners)
  • Worst section for wildcard: 7/14
  • zero for a section: 3
  • negative scores: 2 (including one wildcard)

Once again thanks to everybody for, well just showing up and opening your wallets.

See you June 25th for an even bigger one: Bashers Trivia World Cup 2010!
