Rumesh Ratnakye http://www.espncricinfo.com/stats/content/player/50249.html has invited (2nd hand) the Bashers to the Colombo Sixes to be held August 17th through 19th.
From what I understand this is the inaugural event. A Bashers team perhaps?
Vague expressions of interest below please…….
CC Filth
Anyone interested in making a Shanghai based team to enter the Chiang Mai Sixes contact CC Filth. Currently a few D2 and D3 Hot Dogs going. Cricket to come a distant second to the joys of touring Thailand.
More than 30 teams currently going!
Estimated cost per man based on 8 going would be RMB 5000 ish if we get a group discount on flights … 3 – 9 April.
Date is set for Nanjing Sixes 2011.
It’s on again fellas. The infamously rural Nanjing Sixes is back this year after a 2010 hiatus. New ground, more opponents and probably a slightly more tolerable temperature.
Games will be Sat 2nd and Sunday 3rd. Transport ideally the Friday night before and the Sunday return.
Anyone wishing to re-live or learn more about the 2010 Nanjing Sixes should see here. Be warned, it’s not pretty.
Expressions of interest required below for this year’s event of the rural calender. Bus/train/hotel info to come.
CONFIRMED FOR APRIL FOOLS DAY DEPARTURE. Return date subject to survival.

The Pusher and Cranky didn’t let snow, sleet, hail and rain stop them in their quest to conquere the worlds highest free standing mountain.
On the 14th December at 7:25 am at an altitude of 5895m/19,453feet, two Bashers braved 10 minutes (at -22 degrees C) to take this epic photo, making the other 6 days well worth the struggle to get to the top.
Finally back in Shanghai and a little battered, both men are extremely proud to been a part of such a historic adventure.
THOSE INTERESTED READ BELOW AND LET ME KNOW. IF ENOUGH WE”LL PUT A BASHERS TEAM TOGETHER

A. Logistics
Those that are coming down with the main party and leaving with the main party you have a bus to pick you up to an from the airport. The rest of you (Lady Dick, Tara, Sinbad, Birdshit, Stats and Oscar) that are making your own way the following link has the hotel details.
http://asiagulfhotelxm.chinahotel.com.cn/
If you are arriving later on Friday probably best to go to the Londoner Bar directly 伦敦吧 Guanren Lu (behind Marco Polo Hotel) 官任路 . Taxi drivers all know Marco Polo. Londoner is the block behind it as you walk back from the lake. Suggest the ladies ask Sir Dick to hump all their bags as he is getting the bus.
B. Money
Birdshit has a little windfall in his ticket price and Mrs Pusher now owes him a small refund. Sinbad shortchanged Mrs Pusher who is very upset and muttering something about Indians and Pirates. Omega’s tickets were a little more expensive as the group booking had already been made. Jaguar and Parrot are serious debtors.
Gear.
Leaving everything to club captain to organise….stumps, balls, scorecards etc etc
For those on the 2pm flight Friday see you at the airport around 12.30-12.45pm.
The Perfect recovery session for the end of season function.
Our favourite rural proprietor is taking off his shirt and opening his heart again in order to open your bowels. This seems to be right up the Basher’s alley. Let’s get ready to rural, i see a train carriage full of stained Blazers!
Just before he departed the Canny Man in Wanchai in search of a helicopter to take him to Macau, Hammer promised / threatened to come to Xiamen. We currently have 29 signed up. If 30 come we need two boats and can have a boat race to the beach party. It all rests with Hammer. The chat in Xiamen is that the wicket will have plenty of turn so all set up for leg spinners (or those that think they are). There will also be a decent breeze for Leppa to exploit.
