Unfortunately due to weather circumstances it’s not looking like a good day to bring the family out… Hence Bashers Family Day is cancelled and will be rescheduled.

PLEASE NOTE!!!! GAMES ARE STILL ON!!! Supporters are always welcome…

~~Since we have a big triple header coming up this Sunday MAY 13th 2012 we have decided to make this a BASHERS FAMILY DAY!!! WOOH!!!!~~

I encourage all of you to bring your families, friends, WAGS, significant others and pets to the SRFC in order to show some support for our BASHER teams (it could be another BASHERS DAY!!!). Looks like the weather is getting a lot better and it should be a great time…

For the early birds there is a Bus leaving Camel (with Pleasure and Leisure teams) at 7.15 am… For those of you who want an extra hour or two there is a second bus (Business team) leaving the Camel at 10.15am. We will keep the buses with us till the end of all 3 games but if required we can send one back for those who need to be back in town- BOO!!!!

Hey Guys,

My band will be playing a show Saturday the 28th April at Live Bar. The venue is quite far away, so I am putting on a bus to take people to and from the venue. The bus will be leaving from the Camel and returning people from the venue back to the Camel afterwards. The bus will cost 35 kuai, but we will be providing some bus beers for the journey. It would be great to see a few of you there this time, so please let me know if you are interested. Confirmed already includes Sinbad, who had told me that he would be at every gig, but has failed to show-up for one. Hope to see more of you with him.

Shanghai’s biggest boxing event is back for round VI. This time Brawl on the Bund hosts its black-tie evening at the Kerry Hotel in Pudong, where 16 fighters will slug it out in front of an audience of almost 1000 people. Tickets include a four-course dinner and beer, wine or champagne if you’re ringside. Part of the money goes to charity, this time to Leo’s Foundation, which helps newborn kids in China with respiratory failure.

Starts 7pm.

Tickets

The innermost tables in each category will be sold first, ie, those closest to the ring. So, for the best seats, buy early.

Tickets can be purchased in groups of four or six, or as a one table of ten. For fapiao, a 5% surcharge will apply on the total amount.

The Fighters
16 Fighters to be announced in the two weeks before the event. Returning champions currently in training include: Dave Hurst (BOTB V), Jamie Gerrard (BOTB V), Tim Muse (BOTB V), Adam Thurland (BOTB IV), Paul Gray (BOTB I), Nichole Bradford (BOTB II)

Leo’s Foundation
The Foundation for Newborns with Respiratory Failure was established in 2008 in memory of Leo Spirit who was born three months prematurely and were cared for by the staff at Fudan Children’s Hospital. Leo passed away in November 2007 due to respiratory failure and the Foundation was set up by Leo’s parents Scott and Cecile Spirit to help fund families unable to afford the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit facilities at the hospital.

We might be getting some tables- the more the MERRIER…. and the more tables we will rep at the event!
