SCC Pirates vs Tongji University Lumberjack

Last week a pre-season fixture against the Tongji University side was hastily arranged, and in the rush four Bashers were selected: Shit Shoes, Skid Row, Ian TBC Staz, and Bullet. The Bashers also moved their nets to the same venue to show a bit of support on the sidelines (and bring an esky - thanks Truffles).

A Beer with Mike Gatting…

A select group of Bashers welcomed Mike Gatting to Shanghai at The Brew last night (the sole SCC club represented).

Sneak Peak at T20 Squads…

The SCC will launch a final draft on Wednesday, but here's a sneak peak at the SCC T20 League squads. We've got plenty of Bashers involved, including 2 of the skippers!

SCC Summer T20 League

The SCC is doing something different this year for the Summer T20 League. The league will run from 11-12 July until 2-3 August 2015.

Beijing beat SCC Dragons to retain China Cup, 7 July ’15

Beijing 206/4 defeated the Shanghai Dragons 203 all out A couple of weekends back, the SCC sent a Dragons (1st XI) touring team to Beijing to attempt to win back the China Cup (won by Beijing after a shocker from SCC last year saw them start a home game with only 10 players). Cassius and Square Root were part of the squad, but only Cassius played in the final XI.

SCC Pirates vs China Girls Lumberjack, 3 May

The Pirates is the more "social" representative team of the Shanghai Cricket Club, made up of a mixture from all the member clubs. The match was hastily arranged mid-week, and so the team was made up of Bashers, Hot Dogs and Pudong players, mostly from D2 and D3.

SCC Pirates vs China Women

GAME: SCC Pirates vs China Women (25 over match with lunch break) WHEN: Sunday 10.30am, 3 May 2015

Umpire Volunteers

We all love to play, but we don't often think about the neutral umpires for our D1 and D2 games. The Bashers already contribute to the SCC in other areas, but it seems few Bashers are volunteering to umpire games.

REGISTER WITH SCSC

Bashers, This year we ALL need to individually sign up to play at the SCSC. It basically means you agree to the SCSC ground rules (and I've read the conditions and there isn't much in there). It is free, it is easy, and it'll make sure you get a SCSC card to buy food and beverages at the clubhouse.

Bashers Squad for the SCC Sixes – UPDATED

Dates: Saturday 1 & Sunday 2 November Time: Games start at 8am both days, and finish around 4.30pm (Bashers only have a small bus leaving the Camel at 7am, and coming back at 4.30pm - we need to thank our sponsor with a big night at the Camel on Sunday after the competition ends).
