Record turnout! Well done everyone, especially all those new faces and our Devil friends making a good showing coming in third. The Drop Bears in disguise continue their recent form coming second. In the end the old timers in 3 seconds showed how it was done old school style with a record 500 points!

Of the twelve buzzer questions only three or four were struck with success and most of those by the winning team, learn your lessons folks. Good wildcard selection was  again proven to be important.

Well now you’ve been warned. Lock in next Friday the 12th of March for our first quiz of the year!

Rookie quizmaestro John “Inquisition” L’Epagniol has been scouring his vast casket of useless knowledge and innuendo. Expect some curly ones – much like facing his bowling.

Start will be around 7pm when our new President threatens to officially kick off the Bashers’ residency at the Camel bar with some words of, well, some words.

If you don’t yet know where to find the Camel then click the logo on the left there and read all about it on their lovely fresh site. Entry will be 100RMB per head and the new Social redirector promises some super prizes as always. If you’re a virgin like the quizmaster then you should know these nights never fail to deliver the good times and mountains of useful knowledge, both of which are mostly forgotten the next day.

Recommended team size is 4pax. Plenty of space in our new bar so bring a friend!

Just an update on the last quiz where we saved the planet.

The Million Tree Project has uploaded some pictures of Good Bashers to their website in the Forest of Superhumans section.

Well done again everyone.

Well that’s not the kind of controversial ending we expected but exciting it was.

Most importantly we made a whole bunch of cash for the Million Tree Project – enough to plant 250 trees!

Just as importantly many good times were had, much beer and lambrusco were drunk in a lovely new venue.

It is with much regret that we must postpone Bashers Family Day this Saturday.

As only 16 members have confirmed their availability, and 11 of those playing Saturday morning we need to postpone to a day when the majority of you are available. It’s your club and we all need to show our appreciation to those who give us the free time to enjoy our cricket.

Some other factors like being a work day for some, the AFL Grand Final and many with families abroad or on holidays again have not helped with the timing and we look forward to club input when a better date would be. (more…)
