What better way to warm yourself up than getting down to the Camel tomorrow night for Bashers drink.
Round 2 of the 2012 Bashers shot selection will be taking place so if you think you can improve on the delightful ‘Happy Ending’ shot we came up with a few weeks ago then come armed with a good recipe.
the Happy Ending was;
Grenadine
Blue Curacao
Tequila
Vodka
See if you can beat that.
Also witness the return of the mystical Sinbad from his 2 month retreat in India.
Please start thinking hard about recruitment of new players for 2012, spread the bashers love to anyone you meet and try and get them down tomorrow or any of the up coming events to get them on board.
See you all tomorrow!
If you want an excuse to turn up to work on Monday half cut then come and join me at The Camel. Kick of is 07:30 and there will be a table put aside for the Bashers so head down a bit early to get warmed up!

We have been doing a bit of house keeping and moved the Bashers Facebook page to the new group format. If you were a member of the old group you need to head over here and like the new page. If you weren’t a fan before then why the hell not (apart from the obvious reason of it being blocked. Easy answer…V….P….N)
I have posted up a load of photos from the last couple of seasons mostly drink related or of Swahili sticking his tongue out so it would be nice if the rest of you could fill it out with some actual cricket pictures and i’m sure there is the odd gem or 2 from the social side lurking out there as well!
This is no way replacing the all conquering blog, all info will be posted here as normal, we are just updateing our social profile for the coming season.
So there you go, get involved (if you can) and make sure you post a picture or two!
Now we are all back in the swing of things lets get back on track with some off season training! We need to start working on some important stuff for the 2012 season and I cant think of a better place to start than The Camel!
Firstly we need the 2012 Bashers Shot sorting out. This may seem insignificant to many but these will be forced upon you at a moments notice with no warning so we defiantly need to work on the recipe from last year.
The selected mix last season was;
Whisky
Drambuie
Grenadin
Lime
Bitters
Tabasco
Now i’m not saying this wasn’t an inspired selection but it did taste fairly rough. As always the Bashers strive to improve and we defiantly cant fail to improve on this.
So, come down for a drink and an open discussion and maybe a taste test or 2 this Thursday 12th from around 7pm.
Also after a few testers we can start practicing a reenactmentof this….

Happy New Year to you Bashers out there! I hope you all had a great holiday and are ready to hit 2012 for a big old six!
To start the year of with a bang I am happy to announce that with all the hard work we put in last year with Shanghai Roots and Shoots we have achieved the great land mark of 4000 trees and thus we have our very own forest!
Here is a great message from Tori, Zeezee and the team at Roots and Shoots explaining what we have achieved and re-confirming that The Bashers set the standard for all other clubs in Shanghai.
The certificate will be taking pride of place on the wall in the Members End at the Camel and serve as a reminder to all of us that this club is so much more than just Cricket. (more…)
Following the SCC Annual General Meeting on 26th November, and subsequent Executive Committee meeting on 10th December, I am pleased to announce the following members of the SCC Executive Committee for 2012:
Yes indeed… It’s about time we show some love to our sponsors and revive the THIRSTY THURSDAY traditions. It’s been a long week so y not come over and have a pint in preparation for the weekend ahead!

Doing radio commentary for the test at the Gabba today Bryan Waddle and our Patron Danny Morrison give some love to the Bashers.
Yo guys!!! Check this out… the peeps from PubcrawlShanghai are organizing a big Boat Cruise party for all the sports teams in Shanghai. This looks like a cracker of a night as it starts with a pre-party at our very own “EL CAMEL” and moves over to the Huangpu river (I’m on a Boat!) with a “happy ending” at a VIP party on the Bund (I think…). Tickets are 250RMB and includes free flow beer and all that jazz. Have a look below and let me know if ur in by Monday so we can start organizing tickets (family and friends all invited!). BRING IT!
