Guys,
On behalf of everyone in the Committee – I am posting this to make sure that all registered Bashers are aware:
The Bashers GEOFF HOWE BENEFIT QUIZ and AUCTION NIGHT has been POSTPONED to JULY 1st at CAMEL BAR!!!
Dear All
In case you have not already heard, the date for the Geoff Howe Benefit (World Cup Quiz Night and the Auction) has been postponed from Friday June 25th to Thursday July 1st. The event opens at 6.30, with the Quiz commencing at 7.30 sharp. So be there at 6.30 to organize your teams and get good tables.
We apologize for change, but please understand that the World Cup is on, and an appropriate venue has been difficult to secure arrangements for such an event. The Camel Bar have thankfully saved the day for us, and the date is especially good because it is the first in weeks WITHOUT a World Cup game scheduled.
So please inform anyone who you have previously told about this event that the date and venue have been changed. We apologize for the inconvenience, and your patience and understanding would be appreciated. We are all trying our best to support this effort.
The attached flyer shows the new time and date and return to the old venue – the Camel Bar. There are some great new prizes and we will be sending another flyer around early next week with the full updated list and description of prizes. Some details are currently available on our website: http://basherscc.org/blog/2010/05/18/raffle-for-geoff/
We look forward to seeing you all there!!
Gents,
After much deliberation, please see the XI selected to take on K2 this Sunday.
The game is at the SRFC and will start at 12:15, once our Leisure Boys have secured another victory.
That means, we will be at The Camel at 10:15 (1 finger per minute late), so that we can be on the way at 10:30 to support our brethren.
K2 are showing the early season form that was on display last season. We all know what happened after that.
Lets continue where we left off against them, and provide them with their first ‘L’ of the season.
We know to expect an aerial bombardment – so early to bed, so that none of us are seeing double come game time…
Let me know if you are going straight to the ground.
Any other problems – call me on the usual number.

Bus leaving Camel at 10:30am.
After a hit and miss start to the season (more miss than hit), it is with a sense of relief that the first Lumberjack report is posted.
Following a wash-out first up against Pudong, followed by defeats to the two wannabe Basher teams in the League (Devils and Doggies), we finally managed to notch the first of many victories for the season. (more…)
Gents,
Business Boys are back in action this weekend, with a 12:15 game against Pudong.
Selection:
Meet at the Camel – 10:15 for a 10:30 departure to the SRFC.
Thos going direct to the ground – let me know.
Am in HK at the moment – so any questions hit me on the work phone: +86 1391 731 3304.
Looking forward to getting our first win on the board.
Ollie
Gents,
A massive game on Sunday, against the team that finished last in Div 1 last year / our oldest rivals / the team in possession of the Anti-Basher.
Correct – we are playing the Hot Dogs.
Team:
Game is scheduled to start at 12:15, at the SRFC.
10:30 meet at the Camel.
Unfortunately, it looks like we will be sharing a bus with the Dogs… Lets make sure we win so we can gloat on the way back.
Any questions – 1376 137 0255

Let us know if you’re available below.
Gentlemen and esteemed Bashers,
Sportzvault has since its inception been the bane of the skippers’ existences… The nongmin on the phone in the lift, the mosquito buzzing around you in bed – in other words very annoying.
The SCC have taken over responsibility of updating this system once the scores have been agreed upon by the playing captains and submitted to the Club.
We have now been given a period of a week to confirm the facts and figures in the system before they are logged in for good. So anyone who wants to keep a tally on runs / wickets / catches etc MUST double check their stats in the days following the game. If there are mistakes, let their respective skippers know by the THURSDAY (in email format please) or forever hold you peace.
To make life easier – here is the link for you all – in future, please check the fixed links on the blog
Any further questions – please talk to the voting members of the committee.
Much love,
Stats
