Butthole’s Day – Pleasure Vs Devils Doosra

A fine day it was this Sunday past, when from various modes of transport the Pleasure lads congregated around the kiddie pool to witness Birdshit bathing in a costume that Mrs Birdshit should only have to see.

A quick pep talk from the Parrot and Latex and off we set to the Far field to meet the Doosra boys ready for battle.

After a pre toss of the kooka pie box coming up heads, Bugs confidently called the toss correctly and sent the Doosra boys in to bat.

A quick fielding drill in the cloudy and breezy afternoon and off to the middle for Growler and Tiny to start the innings off against a somewhat timid batting pair with magic bats. A few umpiring anomalies regarding wides and no ball rules and the Doosra were playing and missing, swinging and snicking until Tiny broke through to draw first blood. Pleasure/Leisure Live Music Festival Sunday July 24 Big Bamboo Hongmei Rd

Due the SRFC double booking the grounds, a unique opportunity for those with no plans for Sunday to get on down the Big Bamboo Hongmei Rd to see the Rocking Soul and Funk review , Studio 188 .

The live music starts at 2.30 with Shades of Soul and 4.30 Studio 188 take the stage in a blitzkrieg of face melting classics from the 60′, 70′s 80′s 90′s and yes even the naughties

Come early to get a good seat and your drink on .

Ok Judas, Mals Band playing O’Malleys Japan Earthquake benefit , Sunday 22nd

Studio 188, that R & B Funk and Soul sensation will be joining a cast of others to help Japan back on its feet.

O’Malleys beer garden this Sunday from 12 noon will showcase about 15 different bands from the live circuit with Studio 188 taking the stage right after the Drummer arrives from a Pleasure Victory around 7pm.

Dont know other details like costs and stuff, but will be a good way spend a recovery Sunday after the Karting Night.

Look out for Studio 188 playing at the Big Bamboo Hong Mei Saturday May 28 in a Canadian Music bonanza our ex sponsor Mr Jenner has dreamed up.

Walking with Dinosaurs

We would like to invite anyone who wants to go see this amazing show in the ONLY English version on Saturday 22nd January at 11am at the new arena on the EXPO site.

You dont have to have kids to join in but if you do this should not be missed.

Tickets range in price from cheap to absurd, so we will book the middle ground at 260RMB each but good seats will go fast.

If you are keen please reply today so we can arrange seats together.

While the Committee are having a meeting to try to work out how best to spend our money for the end of season dinner, a general call for all Bashers rank and file who wish to come and have a social drink with no agendas or grandstanding.

Volunteers needed for Geoff Howe benefit events

Hi Guys .

After an fantastic initial burst of enthusiasm towards the Benefit , we really need help to bring home this important fund raiser for one of our brothers in need .

We need some volunteers for the following jobs crucial to making this a success

1. Next Saturday and Sunday we need ticket sellers at the SRFC grounds . If you can do a morning or afternoon , we need to take the tickets to all sports and spectators to sell as many as possible .

2. Volunteer to be Auctioneer at the Savage club Friday 25th

3. Volunteers to help set up the Savage club , its a brand new venue , with signs, tables and just to assist BS, Cranky and Me with getting organized .

4. Selling tickets at other events you will attend .

5. Any other donations for raffle or auction Prizes

We have done an amazing job so far , lets hit it out of the ground .
