A sunny Sunday morning greeted the Pleasure Boys at The Camel Bar for their journey out to SRFC minus Swahili who had overslept and elected to make his way directly to the ground…..a fine omen?? But more on this later.
Pleasure lost the toss and fielded first. A reasonably disciplined bowling performance apart from the 27 wides and 4 dropped catches but plenty of enthusiasm in the field particularly from Tank and Latex who was bounding around like a man half his size.
Bowling honours were equally shared with a hostile opening spell from Dazzler, control in the middle from Long Dong, who was on a hat trick at one stage and guile & variety from Bugs and Omega to close out the Hot Dogs innings at 137 all out. (more…)
Leaving Camel at 7.30. Please let me know if you are going direct. A ‘one bottle’ fine(after the game!) for anyone missing the 7.30 cut-off. Go Pleasure!!!
Bus departs at 12 for SRFC, let us know if you’ll go straight to the ground.
Here’s the lineup.
On another cracking day, the Bashers Div 2 squad were all up bright, early and assembled at The Camel accompanied by an entourage of black-suited Latvians keen to watch/participate in the Noble Game after appearing from a nearby all-night bender. The Skipper sent them away much to the chagrin of some of the assembled members, primarily because he thought that whilst amusing, they had probably peaked in entertainment value around the 7:25 mark.
Bus departs from The Camel at 7:30 am SHARP.Please let me know if you will be going directly.
Bashers Pleasure vs. the Leopards
24 April @ Dulwich
With the sun finally shining, the much-delayed Bashers Pleasure season got underway with a combination of new-comers,returnees and last season’s stalwarts.
Skipper Bugs won the toss and chose to bat opening up with recent Hard Dogs signing, Shaun ‘Golden Shears’ Lear and Gary ‘Pothole’ Dubberley. They found the going slow against an accurate Leopards attack and Golden Shears parted for a duck, completely missing a well pitched up straight one. Pothole and returnee Tony ‘Badabing’ Finnochiaro kept the score ticking over without ever managing to truly break free from the bowlers grasp. (more…)
Hey Gents, here’s the squad for Saturday. Bus departs from The Camel at 1 pm, please let us know if you’ll go straight to the ground.
