A faultless display from the Bashers Business Boys sees us regain the top-spot in Division 1 with just one game remaining, with a performance that saw us gain full bowling and batting points.
In a game of many firsts, it should be noted that:
- No one was late for the bus
- The Driver did not get lost on the way to the ground
- The Skipper did not lose the toss
- No one bowled a wide
- No one dropped a catch
- Nobody got bowled
- And most amazingly – Sinbad did not throw his toys or complain about batting number 11…
You get the general idea…
Unfortunately Pudong pulled out of the game on Saturday evening as they had seen the strength of the Bashers XI due to face them (courtesy of this fine website) and only 5 volunteers were prepared to face the heat of a near full strength squad in the mild 36 degree humidity.
On the plus side – the Bashers roll continues – 5 victories in a row – and a good result against the Doggies in September will see us in the Finals.
Sledges
The following of the above is correct;
The driver was trouble free
Nobody dropped a catch
However i must add some Corrections;
Nine Business players completely missed the bus
Omega won the toss
There were many many wides
Several were bowled
Sinbad batted at first drop.
Business skipper is living in a dream land. Very disappointing effort from the side to not take the opportunity to play more cricket. Un-Basher-like.
What is you definition of ‘Un-Basher-Like’ as in my book not many of the XI would fall into that category.
lame
Jeepers – a little disharmony creeping in. tempting to escalate but ill just let this one ride. I will say that the term un-basher like should be used fairly sparingly. I personally thought it would be nice to spend some time with my wife considering how busy I have been lately. But feel free to call it how you see it.
Flame Wars, me likey.
