    Melbourne Cup Day: BIG BAMBOO Tomorrow midday

    Our lovely sponsors The Big Bamboo are putting on the RACE THAT STOPS A NATION tomorrow: The Melbourne Cup. Since the dawn of man, Australia has stood still on the first Tuesday of November to watch a few ponies run around Flemington, and to sink a few brews.

    The race is at midday so get there early doors for a feed and a few cold one. The bookie will be there from about 10.30AM to collect all bets. Drink specials, 25rmb beers, cheap wine, good tucker…..get a bet on!

    Secondly, the Tigers AFL dinner is coming up on the 14th of November, 850rmb each for all folk interested. Acker, Colbert and Fraser Gehrig will be here. Post here if you are keen to get along…
