Lads,  off to Hong Kong and will get some cricket gear for those who want it. So far I have:

On a bright sunny afternoon, 5 bashers, 2 doggies and 3 devils rolled out of bed and found themselves waiting to play a game against the SCA XI at TongJi University. Despite severe reservations on the pitch, I mean football ground, the  lack of bounce in the outfield and a rather dangerous seaming warm up delivery from Channa (the 2nd most dangerous delivery he bowled), the pitch played relatively well.

Our expedition to Dully started with the extraordinary event of the bus leaving on time. This was much to the disdain of comrade Swahili who turned up (only) 15minutes late after a night out that ended (only) an hour before.

After 40minutes, a few on the bus beers and some muted language (kiddies on board) we arrived at the battleground. Though we were there more than an hour before the beginning of the match, we stepped off the bus to find the Satan Worshippers… I mean Hotdogs, already out on the pitch running drills. Bashers Pleasure seeing this, undertook their own form of warm-up consisting of elbow bends and ingestion of the magical amber liquid that gives all Bashers (Pleasure) their power.

State of Origin is on so it must be Wednesday.

That means tomorrow is Thursday.

Thursday means Bashers Training.

All players past, present and future are invited along to San He Hua Yuan from 6pm – 8pm to practice cricket skills.

Afterwards to the Big Bamboo to practice talking rubbish.

Places for Weekends games at stake!

Just in from Gravity.

The Shanghai Cricket Association (not to be confused with the SCC or Cricket Shanghai) has approached us to put together a side this weekend to play against a Shanghai “State” XI in a T20 fixture at Tongji University.

It’s kinda been decided to put together a Pirates team from Division Two sides not playing or on holiday (so that’s the Pleasure and the Devils mostly)

I know some of us have put our hands up for the Business clash on Sunday. If you’d also or otherwise be keen on this clash (in case you don’t make the grade) please let us know asap below if you’d be available Saturday and or Sunday (around 11am)

This could be a fun game against the best of the best from over 10 universities.
