Hey guys

I am moving to GZ on the 15th of April to take a new job down there. So I would just like to invite you for a few farewell drinks on Saturday night. We have a table at Spot bar from 8pm to 11pm with 30rmb drinks and then we can move to Red Beat on Tongren Lu for a few more until late.

I am not very good with peoples e-mail addresses so please if there are any of the usual suspects I have forgotten please feel free to pass it on.

Summer Schedule (Part 1)

Further to Birdshit’s blog earlier – please see the schedule for the first part of the season.

People will now be able to busy their social schedules, whilst still making sure they are tucked up in bed early on the evenings before match-days.

April Double Header

A leak has sprung in the SCC and we’ve found out about the next Bashers matches!

It all happens on Sunday the 19th. Starting with the Division two match against Kapatelli and the Pudong Fudgepackers followed by a 40 over match also against Pudong.

Please make yourself available (or not) below and come back later to see who is picked in which side and when the buses leave.

Diplomatic Appreciation

Dear Bashers

I have taken the liberty to add myself to your blog as there seems to be no “pest-control” on registration requirements.

As an the Council member organising the Centaurs tour for the weekend, I just personally want to thank all of you who participated in both games … out of 22 players 11 were Bashers which is great show by you lot.

I will be sending out my monthly Communique this week with a review of the Centaurs tour but would also like to congratulate Sameer on a brilliant bowling display claiming 4 Centaurs scalps and also a fantastic “get out of jail” act with 26 no* and taking the Dragons over the victory line with the a great last wicket stand. Special mention has to go to Ollie and Hadleigh for putting on 90-odd in 11 overs for the first wicket and also Hadleigh for getting a 50 on debut for the SCC Dragons.

So once again thanks Bashers for your great support of another SCC initiative.

Legal Mumbo Jumbo

The anti-basher (SCC VP of Operations!) has furnished us with a concise set of rules for this years competitions. It’s suggested that all players have a browse through these documents so they understand what’s going on and know what to do when they have their turn umpiring or scoring.

Bashers Broadcast Episode Five

A week off to recover from the Jaguar club wasn’t quite enough for Kasem who joins Hammer & Birdy from a MASH unit in Afghanistan. Special Guest in the birdsnest Oliver “Stats” Austin, Bashers Captain and one day husband of head Gasher Sarah who also joins us in one of many new segments “Ladies bring a plate”. “Call for a runner” goes live to Chook in South Africa. Loosie on the loose in Beijing (Lock it in). Literally hours of fun for all the family.
