  2. Pick Team Names – Win Beer

LAST WEEK TO GET YOUR ENTRIES IN!

    It’s competition time!

With the reorganisation of the SCC league system the Bashers will now have two competing teams (you’re all welcome to play for either/both)

    • The Santa Fe Premiership is a 40 over comp and supposedly of the highest level.
    • The Santa Fe Championship is a 25 over “2nd XI” comp which will be of a high level also.

The point of this post though is to announce your chance to win beer. The old team names “league” and “20-twenty” are both inappropriate and a little lame so we’d like the Bashers to get thinking and come up with some cool new names for these teams. Something Basher-like, something catchy, something easy to spell. Bonus points for also having a name for  the Sixes side. Leave your suggestions in the comments below.

Winning entry will get a case of delicious beer! (not to mention the prestige)

  3. City Weekend Club Day

    22 March 200910:30 am to 5:00 pm

A call out for any attractive Bashers (failing that any old Basher will do). This Sunday there is a bit of a recruitment opportunity to find some poor lost souls who don’t realise they’re Bashers yet.

Basically we need anyone with some spare time on Sunday to come down and hang out and talk to people about why they need the Bashers in their lives. This is a great opportunity to wear your Blazers!

We’ll set ourselves up from 10:30, the event runs from 11-5. Some of you will be paying cricket in the morning (more on that very soon from captain Stats) but the more the merrier so try and spare a bit of your time to help us out. It might even be an interesting/eye-opening event. If you’re up for it, just comment below.

It’s at a place called High Street Lofts.

    What had he in there?

    Lots of ice cold beer

It doesn’t get much better than that!

You’ve heard Indian sides say this in the field. I believe it means “well done” in Hindi.
