    Loosening Up

    Apparently this pie bloke starts working the suds on the way out, turns in a couple of tight ones to ease the wide fears of cap’n Loooose, slips down a few coldies, carefully deflects a Della straight one with a left leg placed between the middle stump and the umpire’s head, has a brief but violent moment of memory loss after a couple of Bamboo quieties, and wakes up from oblivion with Andre in his face saying “We’ll need to tell your wife about this.” 

    It’s all good, but I’ll admit to a couple of blank spots.  Tell me your version after practice tonight.  I’ll be at the bottom of the stairs. Somehow.

    The Dream is Over…. [at least till next game]

    ALAS, the dream is over for the Twenty20 Bashers squad, for we, have been [flogged by a girl getting a hat-trick against us] narrowly defeated! BOOOOOO! HISSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

    Those brave, courageous souls. We weep for you, o’ mighty brethren!

    FEAR NOT, for what does not kill us makes us stronger and we shall prevail like a Paul Howard [aka Woodstock] beamer bowled at a batting bunny!

    20-Twenty vs Pudong CC – 1st June – 1:00 PM BISS

    Following our VICTORY yesterday [stay tuned for match report] against the Hotdogs, we have a game this Sunday out at BISS.

    1.00pm Bashers CC v Pudong CC – JUNE 1st

    Bus will leave from the Boo probably round 11:15 am.

    This is 1 v 2 on the table and it is a MUST win! If we take Pudong down, we are well and truly on the way to good things so early in the season.

    Let me know who’s in as soon as possible. Thanks.

    Who want’s in?

    The Indian Association will be hosting the Sunil Gavaskar Sixes on June 8th.
     
    The entrance fee is RMB 9,000 per 8 player team and this includes a gala dinner the night before at the Shangri La. It promises to be a great event and if individual team sponsors would like to sponsor a team they can do so for RMB 12K.
     
    This will give them advertising rights and a corporate presence at the event. More details on ‘team sponsorship’ will be forthcoming early next week ito advertising rights available to prospective sponsors. The IA have undertaken to support our Sixes event this year so it would be great if each club were able to submit a team in the event. More details on schedules, times, what fun is on offer, etc closer to the time.
